A significant part of the inspiration/title for my MagicTheater[Plato's Cage] was Hermann Hesse's Steppenwolf.
Imagine my surprise when Peter Horrocks took me aside, at the preview in Brecon, and told me that his brother had done the first translation of the book in over eighty years....
As a book that has followed my life from late teens I'm looking forward to reading the new version - apparently it's more true to the original language.
