In my practise, I aim to incorporate texture and narrative, often creating very simple forms that will carry an intended message. I seek to combine my professional interests in the heritage and industry of South Wales, with my ceramics, developing a narrative about the natural assets that gave this area the opportunity to lead the world. I have created an approach to making vessels inspired by the geology of the area, and for my graduate show I am working on a series of installations about the Aberfan Disaster, which was a changing point in the history of South Wales.
